Marilyn Stebbins, PharmD

Marilyn Stebbins is Vice Chair of Clinical Innovation at UCSF and is on the faculty at UCSF’s School of Pharmacy. She is also involved in clinical work that focuses on developing innovative interprofessional practice models for pharmacists in the ambulatory and community arena with a focus on underserved populations. She teaches courses on health insurance, Medicare Part D, innovative practice models, health policy, managed care, leadership development as well as geriatrics. Additionally, she serves on CHBRP’s medical effectiveness team.

Her past research primarily focused on Medicare Part D and she received, along with Co-Principal Investigator Dr. Helene Levens Lipton, a grant from the Amgen Foundation to collaborate with all seven pharmacy schools in California with the goal of utilizing doctor of pharmacy students’ expertise in Medicare Part D to assist underserved, limited-English Medicare-eligible individuals throughout California with enrolling in plans specific to their needs and financial budgets. Currently her research focuses on interprofessional practice models.

She received her PharmD from UCSF and her BA in Biochemistry/Cell Biology from UCSD.
