Nadereh Pourat, PhD

Dr. Pourat is the Associate Center Director and Director of the Health Economics and Evaluation Research Program at UCLA’s Center for Health Policy Research. She is also a professor of health policy and management in the Fielding School of Public Health at UCLA, professor at UCLA’s School of Dentistry, and also a member of UCLA/Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Division of Cancer Prevention and Control Research. Additionally, Dr. Pourat serves on CHBRP’s cost team.

Dr. Pourat's research examines the disparities in access to care for underserved populations, including how the health care delivery system plays a role in disparities and health outcomes. Her research has also examined the current efforts around redesigning primary care and how these efforts impact access to care for underserved populations. Dr. Pourat also serves on the Adult Technical Advisory Committee at the California Health Interview Survey in which she contributes to the design and implementation of surveys of individuals and professionals.

Dr. Pourat received both her Master’s degree in Science and her PhD in Health Services from UCLA.
