Danielle Casteel is a program evaluation specialist at the Health Services Research Center in UCSD’s Department of Family Medicine and Public Health. She has managed and assisted with several clinical trials, including studies on the benefits of yoga for chronic pain and sports medicine trials. Additionally, she is the data and evaluation manager for the Be There San Diego Collaborative - an initiative to reduce and eliminate heart attacks and strokes in San Diego County. Lastly, she is a member of the California Health Benefits Review Board (CHBRP) Task Force and is responsible for leading medical effectiveness reviews of proposed California health legislature. 

She received her master's degree in psychology with a concentration on physical and mental health research from San Diego State University.
