Sara McMenamin, PhD
Dr. McMenamin is an associate professor in the UC San Diego Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health (HWSPH) and Human Longevity Science. She currently serves as the Director for the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at HWSPH, the lead for the Health Policy teaching division, and the concentration lead for the MPH Health Policy concentration. Dr. McMenamin’s research focuses on health insurance coverage for tobacco cessation treatments in both the private and public insurance markets. Her research also assesses the barriers to implementation of state-level benefit mandates with a particular focus on fertility preservation mandates. Additionally, she serves as Vice Chair of CHBRP’s medical effectiveness and public health teams.
Dr. McMenamin received her PhD in Health Services and Policy Analysis from UC Berkeley as well as her MPH in Health Policy and Management from UC Berkeley.
